WEAKNESS AT AMAZING LOVE SCHOOL
- The unreliable electricity (power) supply.
- The high cost of metered piped water under National Water and Sewerage Cooperation.
- The pit latrine and urinal places in use are not user friendly especially to infants.
- There is shortage of land to be used as a demonstration school garden for agricultural use.
- High expenditure of firewood that even produces a lot of smoke and pollute the school ( a need to have energy saving stoves that are environmentally friendly)
- Low staff remuneration on top of delayed wages, low staff retention and staffs are demotivated.
- The school being located in a slum area, defilement, child mothers, child head families, rampant rape cases, alcohol and substance abuse ( addiction) , family break down , presence of street children, high school drop out, etc.
- Poor nutrition : The school is unable to provide supplementary meals. Same food of posho, beans and greens is served the whole term.
- No land for clear school demonstration garden/farm with piggery, rabbits, poultry ( layers) , goats and a variety of vegetables.
- The temporary structures being used as classrooms are old and dusty and present a danger to the pupils and Teachers.
- The absence of lightening arresters/conductors on classroom area exposes the school community to dangers of lightening striking either buildings or any member of the school community.
- We have failed to harness nature by harvest rain water from the roof of structures and yet monthly water bills are always very high and this can be done with electricity to use solar panels to generate solar power which is relatively cost effective in the long run.
- Failure to have safe and clean drinking water to the school community. Currently we add chlorine to already treated water with chlorine which is a health danger to our school community. We need to treat drinking water using alternative means other than the chemical means.
